UNIVERSAL and HOME STUDY COURSES
Our UNIVERSAL courses can be used to suit  whatever make or model of machine you have to enable you
to use the  modules of the course to suit your machine.

FOR EXAMPLE:
  • Walking foot                  Horizontal Axis Hook or Vertical Axis Hook versions
  • Straight stitch
  • Zig zag  

WHAT YOU NEED
  • An industrial  lock stitch straight stitch sewing machine head and bench with a motor.
  • A good set of screwdrivers, hexagon keys, adjustable spanner or 5mm to 20mm ring spanner set  or socket wrench set ,  
 de-greasing  fluid  and container, mineral oil, cleaning brush and  cloths.
  • A note pad,sewing materials,new needles and access to a computer

HOW OUR COURSES WORK
  • On payment of the course  tell us the make and style of the machine you have preferably send us a picture of the machine.
  • We will post the USB Fash memory modules you have paid for. Each module has between  5 and 10 stages
  • After a number of  modules are completed you will send us notification by email  that you are ready for a test nd we  will  send you a short  questionaire to
    see that you we are happy with your progress so far before you proceed to the next  part .
 YOU ARE FREE TO EMAIL   US AT ANY TIME DURING THE COURSE TO ASK QUESTIONS ON AREAS OF THE COURSE YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT
  • On completion of the course we will send you a final test to see if  what you have learned is  to the standard of  a professional engineer

COURSE SUPPORT
  • We mail you the course on USB flash memory  with the relevant parts of the course for each set of modules you have purchased
  • Help and support is provided by email  throughout the course by fully qualified sewing machine engineers
  • You will be given an email address for your support engineer

LOCK STITCH ON LINE COURSE MODULES
  • There are10 modules in level 1  and 10 modules for level 2 of the lock stitch course, each consisting of between 5 and 10 sections
  • A  manual and full fault finding  chapter is included  on the first set of  modules you purchase
  • The first set of 4 modules will include  removing all parts such as hook,feed mechanism,needle bar stitch length control
  • A test will be required after completion of each set of modules before the next set is started to ensure you understand the course
  • This will continue throughout the course until you have successfully completed the re assembly and  settings of the machine
  • Finally you will have to test the stitching quality to a standard that has be achieved by all  qualified  engineers

OVERLOCKER COURSE CONTENT
Modules 1 to 4     is removing various parts of the machine and re assembly and adjustment of the looper timing
Modules 5 to 8     is  removal of the loopers and resetting, looper timing and testing (plus on line exam)
Modules 9 to 12   is checking and adjusting the needle bar height settings
Modules 13 to 16 is removing and  resetting the feed dog height mechanism   (plus plus on line exam)
Modules 17 to 20 is the removal and resetting of the knife mechanism and knives
Modules 21 to 24 is learning how to re thread the needles and loopers
Modules 25 to 28 is  adjusting the presser foot mechanism   (plus on line exam)

DOMESTIC COURSE ON USB MEMORY

This course would suit anyone who has a machine that has an HA1 style shuttle with a front or side loading bobbin case.
It is a UNIVERSAL course and is suitable to be used for many styles of domestic lock stitch machines , from Singer 15K to the
more modern Wimsew 1818.

There are 20 modules in this set all on 1 USB flash memory .
The USB also contains your personal  code to make email contact for  on line support for the duration of the course
